Caroline Ivey
Caroline has always enjoyed working with kids and knew she wanted to be in a profession that allowed her to work with them. Her teaching philosophy is that every child is capable of learning and it is her goal to each of them succeed.
“I love getting to help students learn and grow! It is such an amazing thing to get a front row seat to their learning and their lightbulb moments!”
With a focus in math, Caroline wants to make the subject fun and easy to understand. She knows it can be a frustrating subject for students to learn, but her goal is to get them to a place where they enjoy it.
Although Caroline recently moved to St. Louis from Augusta, Georgia, she has spent a lot of time here since her mom is a St. Louis native.
Caroline enjoys going on walks, spending time with friends and family, and needlepointing when she’s able to.
Zack Mouw
Having spent 22 years of his life overseas, Zack brings unique perspective and experience to the Rossman faculty. Born in Panama City, Panama, to missionary parents, he developed a passion for travel at an early age, which eventually led him to begin his education career at TLC International School in Dongguan, China. There he served as an elementary educator and administrator, earning Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2016.
Holding a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University, Zack discovered his passion for working with children while working at a YMCA summer camp during his undergraduate years at Tennessee Temple University. His favorite part of being a teacher is the opportunity to build relationships with students. “I love working with upper elementary students and am most passionate about teaching reading comprehension,” he says.
This father of three and former captain of the Tennessee Temple basketball team fiercely believes joy should permeate every classroom. “Throughout the learning process, laughter should be heard and smiles should be seen from all students,” he says. “I believe that it is essential to reach the hearts of students, not just the minds.”
In addition to time with family and continued travel, Zack enjoys reading, shooting hoops, playing guitar and writing songs.
