The future head of school must be deeply committed to Rossman’s personal and supportive culture and core values of kindness, honesty, respect and responsibility. He or she must love working with students of all ages and possess proven team-building skills, a demonstrated commitment to collaborative working relationships and a creative curiosity about curriculum design. 

The successful candidate will combine extraordinary leadership capabilities with excellent administrative, management and relational skills. The ability to constructively engage all stakeholders in a closely connected community will be essential. The future Head of School must be a model of character, integrity, ethics and caring relationships with all. He or she will embody Rossman’s core values while providing leadership and vision to advance the school’s mission and strategic goals.

Our recently updated Strategic Plan will provide the Head of School with a road map for balancing the school’s traditions with opportunities for innovation and development. The goals include the following:

  • Goal 2: Rossman School provides the most sought-after elementary school experience in the St. Louis area.

  • Minimum of a master’s degree
  • Proven experience in a classroom environment
  • Proven experience in an educational leadership role
