Last week, a local radio station host brought up a topic with which we are very familiar: parenting. The woman confessed that her four year old has made her realize parenting is not as easy as it looks. As a result, she has been taking classes offered through the Kirkwood School District — something called “Love and Logic,” another topic with which we are very familiar!

Rossman School students and teachers recently broke the school’s dress code … for a good cause.

The “Pajama Day” on Friday, March 15, raised more than $600 for Cheka School, a pre-primary school in the poverty stricken community of Arusha, Tanzania. Participants paid $2 to Student Council for the right to wear pajamas for the day.

The money students raised will support the Cheka School and community by helping to purchase school supplies, fund the food program that provides two meals a day to the students, and provide new uniforms, shoes, socks, and school bags.
