Rossman Players Revue Presents “Worlds of Disney”
By: Director of Development Cathleen Wyckoff
Featuring excerpts from The Lion King, The Aristocats, Hercules, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Moana, this year’s cast of 21 fourth, fifth and sixth graders brought Disney to life in the Pratt Performing Arts Center. The musical revue was a hit with students and parents, as everyone seemed to have their favorite song.
Director Susan Kopp and Musical Director Brennan Stylez noted, “This is a truly talented, hard-working, and committed cast. We hope that through the experience, each student has gained a greater sense of self-confidence, learned what it means to be part of an ensemble, and has developed a great understanding of the theatre process.”
The COCA (Center of the Creative Arts) Theatre Residency Program at Rossman enables fourth, fifth and sixth grade students to learn the basics of acting and theatrical production on a weekly basis with professional artist-instructors. Participating students learn about the theatrical art form and develop skills and confidence as they experience the rewards of teamwork.
