Google Apps Transforms Creation and Communication at Rossman

November 20, 2013

Rossman School has been approved as a Google Apps for Education (GAFE) site. This is very exciting for both our faculty and staff, as well as our Upper School students. Many of the secondary schools that Rossman graduates will attend are already using GAFE. We are now able to better prepare them for how they will create and communicate when they leave Rossman for future educational endeavors.

Upper School students will now have the ability to create online documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more. They have an entire productivity suite at their fingertips. With the flexibility of GAFE, students can access their work anytime, anywhere. All they need is an internet connection.

GAFE offers students advanced, and more secure, searching options. Their discoveries of online material meets copyright regulations and helps create a Works Cited page for their research projects. What students can do within GAFE is constantly improving and changing to meet the fast paced online world in which we live. It is a safe, secure, and easily accessible way to organize student work.

Twenty-first century learners have the responsibility to be good digital citizens and to be aware of their digital “tattoo.” Under the guidance of their teachers, students will be using GAFE tools available to them to meet these goals.
