Vegas newbs and whales alike enjoyed a memorable evening of fun and friendship Saturday, March 9, at Ross Vegas! The biennial “fun”raiser hosted by the Rossman School Parents’ Club raised $78,000 for Rossman students. Nearly 130 parents, faculty and staff gathered in the Marshall Gymnasium to try their luck at classic casino games, delight in a delicious dinner buffet and enter an array of enticing raffles. Up for grabs in the silent auction were a number of Rossman rarities and class projects. There was even a surprise visit by an Elvis tribute artist, who filled the room with laughter...Read more

Thousands of years ago, humans started out as hunters and gatherers, often moving up to 14 miles per day. The relationship between food, physical activity and learning has always been hardwired into our brains. Over the course of time, the parts of our brain have changed and developed differently to accommodate our lifestyles. One thing that has diminished over time is the amount of physical activity we get. The “screen” era has really taken its toll on exercise.
