The Senior Kindergarten team jointly plans and teaches language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The primary focus of the language arts curriculum is reading and writing. These activities provide instruction to concepts, such as addition and subtraction, skip counting, graphing, time, money, geometry, and measurement.
Working from an established curriculum, the Senior Kindergarten team develops and executes developmentally-appropriate lessons in the areas of science and social studies. Students also enjoy specialty classes, including Spanish, library, music, art, science, and physical education.
Regular parent-teacher communication is an expectation at Rossman School. This individual works with the Senior Kindergarten team to complete progress reports, including written comments, participates in parent-teacher conferences, responds to parent emails, and makes parent phone calls.
