Senior Kindergarten

Lauren Brody

A mother of two, Lauren remembers sitting at her desk one day in second grade, looking up at her teacher and thinking, “That is exactly what I want to do when I grow up.” Today she aims to share with Rossman’s Senior Kindergarteners the joy of learning that her own teachers instilled in her.

Lauren endeavors to provide her students a loving and positive learning environment where they feel safe to take risks and know it is OK to make mistakes. She is elated by the happiness on her students’ faces when they have understood a new idea or solved a challenging problem.

Having focused her graduate studies on educational technology and earned a computer endorsement credential with her Bachelors, Lauren uses her expertise to strategically integrate technology into the SK curriculum. She also is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

Outside of school, Lauren enjoys visiting St. Louis attractions with her family and rediscovering each one through the eyes of her two children. She also likes to ice-skate and is well on her way to accomplishing her goal of visiting each of the 50 states.
